GILBERT, Ariz. – The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team has achieved a ranking of 73rd in the nation in the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings that were released on Thursday.
The Hawks have won two of their last three matches and have battled a difficult early schedule, including a trip to visit then-number one and defending national champion Wake Forest last month. In addition, the Hawks have faced three other ranked teams Penn, Penn State and Drexel; SJU defeated Drexel, now ranked 69th, on January 24.
Saint Joseph's is one of two Atlantic 10 teams in the rankings; George Mason is one slot ahead at number 72.
The Hawks will host 70th-ranked Lehigh on Friday before taking on Bucknell and Illinois State on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
