FAIRFAX, Va. – The Saint Joseph's women's basketball team saw its four-game winning streak snapped Wednesday night, falling to George Mason, 85-59, inside EagleBank Arena.
George Mason (20-8, 15-2 A-10) used a 20-4 run spanning the first and second quarters to create separation, building a lead of as many as 18 points in the opening half. Despite seven early points in the first quarter from
Gabby Casey, foul trouble limited the Hawks' momentum as the Patriots carried a 43-28 advantage into the break.
The hosts extended their control with an 11-2 run to open the second half, and Saint Joseph's (19-9, 10-7 A-10) was unable to trim the deficit below 18 the rest of the way as George Mason secured the 85-59 decision.

- Faith Stinson paced the Hawks with a team-high 15 points.
- Gabby Casey and Aleah Snead each added nine points, while Rhian Stokes and Cecilia Kay chipped in seven apiece.
- Saint Joseph's shot 17-for-42 (40.5%) from the floor and 4-for-13 (30.8%) from three, converting 21-for-29 (72.4%) at the line.
- George Mason finished 25-for-55 (45.5%) overall and 9-for-17 (52.9%) from beyond the arc, adding a 26-for-33 (78.8%) showing at the free-throw line. Zahirah Walton led all scorers with 29 points alongside eight rebounds and four assists.
- The Patriots controlled the glass, outrebounding the Hawks 36-23 and turning a 15-7 edge on the offensive boards into a 19-8 advantage in second-chance points.
