Saint Joseph's Varsity 8 picked up a victory over Delaware as the Hawks' women's rowing team opened its spring schedule on Saturday on the Schuylkill River.

How It Happened
• In a tight battle down the courts, St. Joe's Varsity 8 edged crossed the finish line first, edging Delaware 7:12.40 to 7:13.28 for the victory.
• Racing for the first time this spring, the Hawks' 2nd Varsity 8 finished the course in 8:07.22 as the Blue Hens finished ahead of them.
