MERION STATION, Pa. – The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team fell to 70th-ranked Old Dominion on Thursday by a 4-0 score.
HOW IT HAPPENED
•
Damir Abdusamadov and
Santiago Valle were locked in a heated match in the top double flight, tied 4-4 in a tiebreaker after a 6-all set, but the visitors won the second and third flights to take the doubles point.
• The Monarchs won the first three singles matches to be completed to take the overall win. The Hawks pushed each of the first two flights to a decisive third set, but the matches were still on the court when play was halted.

"The guys came to battle against a perennial NCAA tournament team today," head coach
Jeff Puhan said. "We put ourselves in position to win the doubles point. We spilt on first and second singles and had chances at three, four, and five. I'm really proud of these guys for battling and excited for the rest of the season!"
