MERION STATION, Pa. – The Saint Joseph's softball team scored in the bottom of the sixth inning on its way to completing a three-game sweep against the George Mason Patriots, winning 2-1 on Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- George Mason cracked the scoreboard in the top of the third inning with the initial run of the game.
- In the bottom of the fourth, SJU put runners on first and second as York and Jenna Currie each walked. With two outs, Heers singled through the middle, bringing home York to tie the game at 1-1.
- St. Joe's forged in front in the sixth. Peterson doubled and moved to third on a sac bunt from Currie. Three batters later, Peterson came in to score as Heers delivered a sac fly.
- Scogna took care of the rest, allowing just one run on six hits in securing her third complete game of the season.
