Women’s Basketball Duo Named CSC Academic All-District

PHILADELPHIA — Saint Joseph's women's basketball players Cecilia Kay and Faith Stinson have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team, CSC announced Tuesday.
 
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, honor the nation's top student-athletes for combined performance on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's basketball honorees in four divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
 
A starter in all 31 games this season, Stinson wrapped up her four-year career at Saint Joseph's with 835 points and 539 rebounds in 121 games. She averaged 8.7 points and 4.5 rebounds this season, with 14 games in double figures and 16 games with at least five rebounds. The Thornville, Ohio, native also set career highs in field goal percentage (46.6%) and assists (52), helping the Hawks to a fourth consecutive 20-win season.
 
In her first season with the Hawks, Kay played in all 31 games, making three starts. The Melrose, Massachusetts, product recorded a season-high 11 rebounds in the season opener and scored 13 points in the first meeting with Rhode Island. Kay led the Hawks with 29 blocks on the year, including seven games with multiple blocks and a career-high five at Duquesne. She is approaching 500 career points after two seasons and has already collected 364 rebounds.
 
To receive Academic All-District honors, honorees must have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50 and be a sophomore athletically and academically.
