DAVIDSON, N.C. - The Saint Joseph's men's basketball team clinched a double bye in the Atlantic 10 Championship for the first time since 2018 with a 70-67 win against the Davidson Wildcats on Wednesday night.

BY THE NUMBERS
- Jaiden Glover-Toscano led all scorers with 23 points, hitting 5-for-10 from beyond the arc. He also pulled in a team-high nine rebounds.
- Derek Simpson netted 10 with four rebounds, four assists and three steals.
- Khaafiq Myers posted nine with five rebounds and four assists.
- Justice Ajogbor had one block in the game. It was the 250th overall of his career, making him the only active D1 player with 250 or more. He added eight points and five boards.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both teams missed early, before Davidson found its rhythm, hitting 7-of-8 shots, including four three-pointers on its way to an 18-10 lead seven minutes into the contest.
- St. Joe's began to tighten up on defense, holding the Wildcats to a 1-for-8 stretch. On the offensive side of the ball, the Hawks went 6-for-10, taking their first lead of the night on a pull-up jumper from Myers, going up 26-25 with 6:17 to go in the half.
- Saint Joseph's and Davidson went back and forth on the seesaw for the remainder of the half. The last basket belonged to Myers on a driving layup, sending SJU into the half with a 37-35 lead.
- With the game tied at 39-39 early in the second frame, St. Joe's went on a 16-3 run with five different players finding the scoring column. The last bucket, a trey from Austin Williford, forced a timeout by Davidson as the Hawks pushed the lead to 55-42 with 13:06 to play.
- Holding a 15-point lead, the SJU offense went cold, missing eight shots in a row. The Wildcats capitalized, scoring 12 in a row, closing the gap to 57-54 with just less than six minutes remaining.
- DC extended its run and took a 59-57 lead with 3:03 to go before Glover-Toscano buried his fifth three-pointer of the night. The teams traded baskets for the next two minutes with the Hawks taking the lead back on an Ajogbor dunk. St. Joe's got a defensive stop followed by Williford swishing two free throws. Overall, Saint Joseph's hit 5-of-6 at the line in the final minute to seal the win.
