Glover-Toscano, Williford Earn Weekly Awards

PHILADELPHIA - The Saint Joseph's men's basketball team earned multiple honors on Monday as Jaiden Glover-Toscano was named the Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week and Austin Williford was selected as the Philadelphia Big 5 Rookie of the Week,

Glover-Toscano averaged 19.0 PPG and 7.0 RPG while shooting 59.1 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from three-point range as the Hawks locked town the No. 3 seed in the Atlantic 10 Championship with a pair of wins. On Wednesday at Davidson, he netted 23 points and tied a career-high with nine rebounds. He connected for five treys in the game, including one that snapped a long scoring drought for SJU and gave St. Joe's the lead. On Saturday against La Salle, he added 15 points and five rebounds on 5-for-8 shooting. Overall, he was 13-for-22 from the floor and 7-for-14 from beyond the arc for the week.

Williford averaged 10.0 PPG and 5.0 RPG for the Hawks. Against Davidson on Wednesday, he scored seven points and pulled down five boards. He also connected on a pair of free throws with 29 seconds left that gave SJU ots eventual margin of victory. On Saturday against La Salle, he scored 13 and had his sixth game this season with three or more three-pointers. He also added three blocks on the week.

Saint Joseph's begins its postseason run with a quarterfinal game in the Atlantic 10 Championship on Friday, March 13 at 7:30 p.m. The opponent has not yet been determined. The game will air on CNBC.
