HOW IT HAPPENED
- It was St. Bonaventure who tallied the first run of the game, posting an unearned run in the top of the first.
- In the bottom of the frame, SJU sent 10 batters to the plate. Singles by Sinkus and Hasapis sandwiched a walk by Muhaw to load the bases. Shearer drove home the first run of the game for the Hawks with a single up the middle. Riley York followed with a bases loaded walk to force in another run. Currie drove in a pair with a single through the middle. The final run came across on a wild pitch.
- Four more runs scored in the second as Saint Joseph's loaded the bases for Heers who lined a ball over shortstop that rolled all the way to the wall, scoring all three runners. Next up was Lauren Stalica who singled down the rightfield line to plate Heers.
- In the third, St. Joe's found itself with a runner on second and two out. A single from York moved the runner, Hasapis to third before a single from Currie brought both runners home. Heers came up next and cracked her second homer of the season, pushing the lead to 13-1.
- The Bonnies scored in the top of the fourth, but SJU got the run back in the bottom of the inning on a Hasapis groundout.
