ORLANDO, Fla. – The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team saw its Atlantic 10 Championship run come to an end on Friday as the second-seeded Hawks fell to third-seeded Dayton, 4-1, at the USTA National Campus.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Flyers claimed the doubles point with wins in the first and third flights.
Othman Bezzaz and
Ernesto Ruy won their second-flight match, 6-4.
• Bezzaz was also a 6-4, 6-4 winner in the fourth flight to get the Hawks on the board in singles play, but Dayton secured wins in the top three flights to win the match.
Sehaj Singh Pawar and
Jakob Gaudreau Barnes led in the third sets of their respective fifth- and sixth-flight matches when play was halted.
