SAINT LOUIS - The Saint Joseph's softball team scored four runs in the top of the seventh inning as the Hawks rallied to defeat the Saint Louis Billikens, 6–3, in the Atlantic 10 Championship on Thursday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Hawks got on the board first in the third inning. Lester and Brown both singled. A sacrifice by Meghan Sinkus moved the runners up a base each before a sac fly from Hasapis plated Lester for a 1-0 SJU lead.
- Saint Louis tied the game with a run in the bottom of the frame. The Billikens then scored two in the fourth to take a 3-1 lead.
- St. Joe's inched closer in the sixth. Lester reached on an error to start the inning. Next up, McMenamin singled her home, cutting the gap to 3-2.
- In the seventh, Saint Joseph's loaded the bases on singles by Kasi Loser and Heers, followed by Julia Shearer drawing a walk. Jenna Currie came up to pinch hit and lifted a sac fly to center, scoring Loser to tie the game. On the play, both of the runners advanced. McMenamin stood in next and connected on a two-run single to give the Hawks a 5-3 advantage.
- Not done in the inning, Lester reached on an error, bringing up Brown who ripped a double down the leftfield line, scoring Lester, upping the lead to 6-3.
- Trowbridge took care of the rest, shutting the door on Saint Louis in the bottom of the inning. The senior allowed just three hits in her four innings of work, striking out three while improving her record to 8-5 for the season.
