PHILADELPHIA – Saint Joseph's men's soccer earned three Philadelphia Soccer Six weekly honors Monday afternoon. Jake Ross was named Offensive Player of the Week, while Rob Myrick was selected as Defensive Player of the Week and Declan Sullivan earned Rookie of the Week honors.
 
Ross opened his week with a game-winning volley in the Hawks' 1-0 victory over Iona last Tuesday. The senior then started against George Mason on Saturday and found the back of the net for the second consecutive match, helping Saint Joseph's to a 2-2 draw. The two goals mark the first multi-game scoring streak of Ross' collegiate career as the Wilmington, Del. native becomes the first Hawk to register multiple goals this season.
 
Myrick and Sullivan each played all 180 minutes on the week, helping the Hawks hold Iona scoreless and limit the Gaels to just one shot on target. The duo then helped Saint Joseph's hold George Mason to four shots on target in Saturday's 2-2 draw. Neither player received a card across the two matches.
 
The weekly honors mark the latest recognition for a Saint Joseph's squad that remains unbeaten through its first seven matches of the season, it's best unbeaten start since 1971.
