MERION STATION, Pa. – The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team opened its 2026-27 season at the SJU Tennis Complex on Friday, sweeping all six matches played against Haverford.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Hawks got started with a pair of doubles wins, as Othman Bezzaz and Sehaj Singh Pawar took a 6-1 result and Jakob Gaudreau Barnes teamed with Stefan Brajovic for a 6-3 win.
 
• In singles play, all four rolled to straight-sets wins to finish off the sweep.
 
UP NEXT
The Hawks will take on the Fords once again on Saturday while also visiting Swarthmore.
