Before Hawk Hill: Earned a pair of section championships and was a WPIAL champion as a junior...Three-time Big 56 Second Team honoree...Played for the Pittsburgh Diamond Dawgs program...Also competed in gymnastics in middle school and as a competitive bass fisher.

Personal: Uncle, Joe Pettini, played and coached in the Major Leagues for the San Francisco Giants, Motreal Expos, Houston Astros, and St. Louis Cardinals, and won two World Series titles as the bench coach for the Cardinals...Majoring in biology.
