Doc Neiman is set to kick off his second season on the Saint Joseph's coaching staff in 2025.  Neiman serves as the Hawks' hitting coach and work with the squad's catchers.

During his first season at SJU, Neiman helped guide sophomore Ryan Weingartner to First Team All-Atlantic 10 and Second Team All-Region honors, while senior Ryan Picollo and junior Ryan Cesarini were tabbed for the All-Conference Second Team and freshman Tim Dickinson earned All-Rookie laurels.  Cesarini was also named to the Atlantic 10 All-Championship Team before he was selected in the 14th Round of the 2024 MLB Draft by the Cleveland Guardians; Picollo was later selected by the Seattle Mariners in the 20th Round.

Before coming to Hawk Hill, Neiman spent the previous four seasons as the head coach at Division II PennWest Clarion in Clarion, Pa.  Neiman helped guide the Golden Eagles to 10 conference wins in 2021, the first time Clarion reached double-digits in PSAC West play since 2005.  Last season, Scott McManamon became the first Clarion player to earn First Team All-PSAC West honors in 11 years and was the only player in the conference to hit 10 or more home runs and steal 20 or more bases en route to All-Region honors.

Prior to taking the reins of the program, the Chester Valley, Pa., native spent a year as an assistant coach, helping lead Clarion to its second-highest win total in program history.  He previously spent time on the staffs at Erskine College and his alma mater, DeSales University, where he played and coached under his father, Tim, graduating in 2011.
