2012: Posted one of the finest campaigns in the history of Saint Joseph's baseball en route to All-Atlantic 10 First Team honors, the first such award for a Hawk starting pitcher...Was also named to the All-Philadelphia Big 5 Baseball Team and brought home the Big 5 Pitcher of the Year award...Led SJU in wins, innings pitched, and strikeouts...Led the starting rotation in earned run average...Tied for the team lead in starts...Set a program record for innings pitched in a season...Tied Jamie Moyer's 28-year-old record for strikeouts in a season...Threw the first pitch at Smithson Field as he earned the win over Iona on March 9...Tossed an 84-pitch gem against Massachusetts on April 13 for a 6-0 shutout victory and Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week honors...Pitched into the ninth inning in SJU's 11-inning win over La Salle on May 11...Went the distance at Xavier on May 18, earning the victory that clinched SJU's first-ever Atlantic 10 Tournament berth and his second A-10 Pitcher of the Week citation...Struck out 12 Dayton Flyers, the most by a Hawk hurler all season, in eight innings at the A-10 Tournament on May 24...Went 5-0 with a 1.99 earned run average in conference play, leading the A-10 in strikeouts in league games... Saint Joseph's won all eight of his Atlantic 10 regular season starts...Voted the Big 5 Pitcher of the Week three times.
2011: Led the Hawk pitching staff in just about every category, including starts, wins, innings pitched, and strikeouts en route to being named SJU's Pitcher of the Year...Also twirled a pair of complete game shutouts...His seven-inning shutout of UTSA on February 26 powered the Hawks to a 3-0 win...He also blanked defending league champion Saint Louis, 9-0, in the A-10 opener on March 25...Earned a pair of Atlantic 10 and Philadelphia Big 5 Pitcher of the Week honors...Pitched into the seventh inning or later in eight of his starts...Fanned 10 hitters in the April 9 game against eventual league champion Charlotte...Cracked the single-season top 10 lists in starts (T-7th), wins (T-7th), innings pitched (T-4th), and strikeouts (T-8th)...Selected to the All-Philadelphia Big 5 Baseball Team.
2010: Established himself as part of the weekend rotation during conference play...Went five innings and allowed one run on just two hits while fanning a team-best nine hitters on March 24 against Saint Peter's, a game the Hawks eventually won in 10 innings...Led all newcomers in appearances, innings, and strikeouts.
High School: Captained the team as a senior...Posted a 22-6 record for his high school career...Led St. Joseph's Prep to Philadelphia Catholic League titles as a sophomore and a junior and then the Philadelphia City championship as a senior...Three-time First Team All-Catholic honoree...Named Second Team All-City twice and First Team All-City once...Chosen as the Philadelphia Pitcher of the Year as a senior in 2009...Also lettered in soccer, serving as team captain as a senior.
Personal: Majoring in food marketing...Son of Christine and Mark Mullen...Father and uncles, Tony and Kevin, also played baseball at Saint Joseph's.
