Biography

2013: Appeared in every game either in the lineup or on the mound... Made 50 starts as a first baseman and designated hitter...Also made 12 appearances on the mound...Ranked second on the team in runs scored and tied for second in home runs...Notched three hits in a game on four occasions and drove in three runs twice, at Stetson on February 17 and at Saint Louis in May 11...Hit his first career home run in the game at Stetson on February 17... Scored four runs and added three hits in the win over Iona on March 10... Notched three more hits two days later against Villanova...Named Big 5 Baseball Player of the Week on March 12...Made his first career start on the pitching mound against Wagner on March 17, allowing one hit and fanning four in three innings...Earned victories at Delaware State on April 9 and at Richmond on April 19...Made just three errors in 273 chances en route to SJU’s Defensive Player of the Year Award.

2012: Made 23 appearances on the mound, the fourth-highest single-season total in school history...Earned his first career victory in the Liberty Bell Classic quarterfinal win at Temple on March 27...Also got the win in the Liberty Bell Classic semifinal win over Delaware on April 3...Had his longest outing of the season against Massachusetts on April 15, tossing three scoreless innings...Earned the win in SJU’s 13-inning victory at Saint Louis on April 5 and the Hawks’ 11-inning win over George Washington on May 4.

2011: Appeared in 28 games, starting 15 of them…Made 14 starts as the backup first baseman…Was the starting DH in his first career game at Old Dominion on February 18 and did not disappoint, going 2-for-5 with a double and two RBIs… Went 2-for-4 in the win over Temple on April 5 and drove in the winning run on a bases-loaded single in the bottom of the ninth.

High School: Two-time All-Area First Team, All-County First Team and All-Red Division selection...Led South Brunswick to the Middlesex County championship as a senior, when he was named Second Team All-State and played in the New Jersey State All-Star Game...Finished his career with a .424 average, six home runs, and 66 RBI...Also played quarterback for three seasons.

Personal: Majoring in finance...Son of Maria and Michael Muha... Father played and coached football at the University of Connecticut.
