2015: Tied for third on the team in appearances with 18, all in relief…Held opponents to a .263 batting average…Earned his first save as a Hawk with a perfect inning in the win at Lafayette on April 7.

2013-14 (at Temple): Posted a 5-5 record in 33 appearances...Notched a 2.57 earned run average in 2014...Played for current SJU assistant coach Ryan Wheeler.

High School: Earned All-County First Team honors on two separate occasions...Led Iona Prep to the state championship as a senior...Also earned two letters in basketball.

Personal: Son of Loren and John McCarthy...Grandfather was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates...Majoring in communications studies.
