Beth Riley is back for her ninth season as a member of the Saint Joseph's field hockey coaching staff in 2025.

During the 2024 season, Riley was part of the NFHCA Mid-Atlantic Region Coaching Staff of the Year as she helped guide the Hawks to the NCAA national championship game.  Along the way, the Hawks earned their fourth consecutive Atlantic 10 postseason title, the program's highest-ever poll ranking of third in the nation, and the program's first-ever Final Four appearance.

Riley helped guide goalkeeper Victoria Kammerinke to consecutive NFHCA All-America honors – a Third Team selection in 2017 and a Second Team honor in 2018 – as well as the Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year award in each of those seasons.  In 2022, Robin Bleekemolen earned Second Team All-Region and Second Team All-Conference honors, while the Hawks led the nation with 11 shutouts.

The Hawks have won seven Atlantic 10 regular season championships and seven postseason titles during Riley's tenure; SJU also earned the first NCAA Tournament berths and the first NCAA Tournament win in program history with Riley on the sidelines.

A former student-athlete with the University of Michigan field hockey program, Riley went on to assistant coaching stops at Temple and Indiana before spending three seasons as the head coach at Bryn Mawr College.

A native of Palmyra, Pennsylvania, Riley was inducted into the Palmyra High School Sports Hall of Fame in 2011.  She graduated from Michigan in 2007 and is currently an Assistant Director of Admissions at Neumann College.
