Dunne enters her seventh season on Hawk Hill in 2025-26, her third season as associate head coach. Also promoted to Director of Recruiting in May of 2021, her day-to-day responsibilities include working primarily with the point guards and overseeing all recruiting efforts.

The Hawks won 20-plus games for the third straight season, finishing 24-10 with an Atlantic 10 Championship appearance and a trip to the second round of the WBIT. For the second year in a row, they topped the league in assist-to-turnover ratio at 1.23, a mark that also ranks among the top 25 nationally. Saint Joseph’s also averaged 17.0 assists per game, the second-highest total in the conference. Under Dunne’s guidance, Emma Boslet recorded a career-high 104 assists and led the A-10 with a 2.26 assist-to-turnover ratio.

St. Joe’s recorded a program record 28 wins in the 2023-24 season, making a quarterfinal run in the inaugural WBIT. Under Dunne’s tutelage, the Hawks finished first in the Atlantic 10 in assist/turnover ratio (1.13) and in turnovers per game (13.1). Julia Nyström and Emma Boslet combined for 146 assists to just 88 turnovers for a 1.66 assist/turnover ratio from the point guard position. Six different Hawks registered at least 50 assists on the year.

The 2022-23 season saw Dunne help the Hawks to a 20-11 record, largely in part due to an efficient showing from the backcourt. The guards combined for 315 assists compared to just 215 turnovers. Dunne's tutelage helped Katie Jekot surpass 1,000 career points while also finishing her career eighth all-time in assists in program history.

In 2021-22, Dunne helped Katie Jekot to Second Team All-Big 5 honors for the second time in her career after a season in which Jekot finished third in the A-10 in assists per game and fourth in assist-turnover ratio. Under Dunne's tutelage, Julia Nystöm was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team.

Her second season saw Jekot named SJU's MVP and Defensive Player of the Year, Henderson named SJU's Most Improved Player and Outstanding Player of the Year, and both named to the Philadelphia Big 5 Second Team.

In her first season with the Hawks in 2019-20, Dunne worked with the guard trio of Lula Roig, Jekot, and Kaliah Henderson, all of whom were named to the All-Philly Women's College Basketball Team at the conclusion of the season.

Dunne joined the Hawks after three seasons as women’s basketball head coach at Holy Family. Under her direction, the Tigers advanced to the 2018 CACC Tournament, while four student-athletes earned All-CACC accolades and eight were named to the CACC All-Academic Team.

Dunne came to Holy Family after helping George Washington to two consecutive A-10 titles as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. In her first season with the Colonials, she helped the team set a new program record for wins (29) en route to earning its first NCAA appearance since 2008.

Beginning her coaching career at Drexel, Dunne joined the Dragons in 2002 as a graduate assistant and transitioned to assistant coach the following year before moving on to Rhode Island as an assistant for the 2006-07 season. She returned to Drexel the following year as an assistant and recruiting coordinator. The Dragons captured their first-ever CAA title and NCAA berth in 2009, with Dunne a key part of the program’s success as Drexel earned five consecutive postseason bids, which included winning the 2013 WNIT championship.

A four-year letterwinner at Temple, Dunne was a key contributor for the Owls from 1998-02. Serving as team captain as a senior, she helped lead the Owls to just their third 20-win season in team history as they would capture both the A-10 and Big 5 titles and earn the program’s first NCAA Tournament appearance in more than a decade.

A 2002 graduate with a bachelor's degree in journalism, broadcasting and public relations from Temple, Dunne earned a master's degree in public communication from Drexel in 2006. She replaced Susan Lavin, who now serves as the team’s chief of staff.
