Saint Joseph's women's head basketball coach Cindy Griffin announced the return of MyNeshia McKenzie to the coaching staff in June 2025.

"We're thrilled to welcome MyNeshia back to Hawk Hill!" said Coach Griffin. "She spent part of her coaching journey here as our video coordinator, so bringing someone back who already feels like family is truly special. Her professional experience as both a coach and a player will be a tremendous asset to the development of our student-athletes and our recruiting efforts. MyNeshia's energy and passion for the game are contagious, and we can't wait to get started!"

McKenzie returns to Hawk Hill after previously joining the program as a video specialist in June of 2019, spending two seasons at Hawk Hill before spending the past four seasons at her alma mater, Rider, as the associate head coach and recruiting coordinator.

"I can't thank Cindy enough for welcoming me back to Hawk Hill with open arms," said McKenzie. "The SJU community has held a special place in my heart since Coach Griffin first welcomed me into the family in 2019. I'm beyond excited to continue to build on the rich tradition and success here on Hawk Hill. Let's get to work! THWND!"

During her tenure at Rider, McKenzie coached a pair of All-MAAC Team honorees in Second Team selection Taylor Langan and Third Team selection Lenaejha Evans. McKenzie also coached Amanda Mobley, who finished her career with the second-most assists in program history, and Makayla Firebaugh, the eighth all-time leading scorer, while helping Winner Bartholomew to the MAAC All-Rookie Team.

McKenzie graduated from Rider in 2014 as the program's leading rebounder (1,143) and third-leading scorer (1,619) before signing a professional contract with Boa Viagem in Portugal. The Springfield, Pa. native earned All-Import and First Team All-League honors in her first season with the club in 2014-15 before joining the Phoenix Galati in Romania the following year. McKenzie continued her successful European career with All-Import and First Team All-League honors again while being named the 2016 Forward of the Year.

McKenzie transitioned to coaching beginning with the 2017-18 season at Holy Family. During her time with the Tigers, she helped coach a pair of All-Conference athletes before joining Coach Griffin's staff prior to the 2019-20 campaign.

McKenzie was a three-time All-MAAC selection, earning two First Team nods in her junior and senior years. She also took Third Team honors as a sophomore and was selected to the All-Rookie Team as a freshman. As a senior, McKenzie averaged 19.5 points along with 11.1 rebounds per game (16th nationally), narrowly missing out on becoming the first player in MAAC history to average 20 points and 10 rebounds a game. She finished her career with 45 double-doubles, including 19 as a senior.
