SAINT JOSEPH'S MEN'S BASKETBALL 2003-04 TEAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS

• Posted best record in school history with a 30-2 mark • Ended the year ranked fifth in the nation, the highest final ranking since 1966 The nation's only team to finish the regular season with an unbeaten record (27-0), while becoming the first team to achieve the feat since UNLV in 1990-91 • Team reached the NCAA Elite Eight for the first time since 1981 and made the first back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Tournament since 1981 and 1982 Earned a top seed in the NCAA Tournament for the first time ever Achieved nation's number-one ranking in the polls of March 8 for the first time in school history The 27-0 regular-season record was the best "start" in Atlantic 10 and school history, and longest winning streak for SJU and the conference Established school record for weeks in the Top 25 (20) and most consecutive years ranked (4) Won its fourth consecutive Atlantic 10 East regular season title and second straight outright Big 5 title • Team of the Year - Herb Good Basketball Club Posted program's best Atlantic 10 record at 16-0 Team set SJU record for 3-point field goals made (313) and attempted in a season (775)
