PHILADELPHIA (05/10/03) - Artur Surov, a 7-0, 285-pound center from Memorial Day School in Savannah, Ga., has signed a National Letter of Intent to play men's basketball for Saint Joseph's University.
An exchange student from Finland, Surov, averaged 15 points and 13 rebounds in leading Memorial Day School to the state championship game of the Georgia Independent Schools Association in his lone season at the school. The 19-year-old was born in Estonia, but moved to Helsinki when he was six.
Surov is the second student athlete to sign with head coach
