Angus Burke scored three goals and added an assist to lead Towson to its sixth straight victory, a 5-0 win over Saint Joseph's in men's soccer at the Towson Center Field on Saturday afternoon.
The win is Towson's sixth straight, improving its record to 6-1. The Hawks are now 1-5 on the season.
Mosca Cisenros gave the Tigers an early 1-0 lead just 7:44 into the game when he scored on a shot in front of the goal after Burke dribbled along the right endline. Burke scored his first goal of the game at 23:54 when he blasted an 8-yard rocket off the hands of sophomore goalkeeper Trevor Lyman that went into the net for a 2-0 lead.
At 35:15, Burke scored his second goal of the match when he took a pass from junior Sebastian Haensel. Burke scored his third goal of the game, an unassisted goal on a 5-yard shot around Lyman.
Pat Healey completed the scoring when he scored on a short shot off a pass from sophomore Andy Fraggos.
For the Hawks, Lyman faced 17 shots and made four saves.
Senior goalkeeper Zak Thompson faced six SJU shots and made three saves in 62:30 for the Tigers.
The Hawks have another week-long break before traveling to Monmouth on Saturday, October 1.
