Hawks Close Out Play in NABC Classic Versus Ohio

Dec. 10, 2006

LOUISVILLE, KY - Saint Joseph's (5-3) will close out play in Louisville's NABC Classic this afternoon when the Hawks take on Ohio University (5-2) at 2:30 p.m. at Freedom Hall.

The game can be heard in Philadelphia on WFIL (560 AM) with Tom McCarthy and Joe Lunardi calling the action. Audio streaming is also available on Hawks' All-Access.

The Hawks are coming off of a 74-64 loss to host team Louisville on Saturday evening. Ahmad Nivins posted his second straight 20-plus point game, with 26 on 11-for-16 shooting. Pat Calathes added 19 points as he converted 7-of-12 from the field.

Ohio leads the all-time series with the Hawks, 2-1, but the teams have not met since 1976, when they participated in the All-College Tournament in Oklahoma City. SJU won that game, 69-67.

After today's game the Hawks take a break for final exams and return to action on December 19 when they host Saint Mary's at Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse.
