The Saint Joseph's women's soccer team dropped its Atlantic 10 contest at St. Bonaventure, 3-0, Sunday afternoon at McGraw-Jennings Field. The Hawks (7-6-4, 2-3-4 A-10) return to action this Friday when they host George Washington at 7:30 p.m.
The Bonnies jumped out to a 2-0 edge over the opening 25 minutes and finished the game out shooting the Hawks 17-10. St. Bonaventure's Kaitlin Krisco put her team up 1-0 in the 12th minute. With the ball in the Hawks' box off a SBU corner kick, the Bonnies' Anna Cunningham gathered a loose ball and found Krisco, who beat Saint Joseph's junior goalkeeper Megan Bastianelli at 11:28.
Cunningham put the Bonnies up 2-0 at 24:51 as she beat Critchlow to the left post from five yards out.
St. Bonaventure added its third goal off the foot of Marilyn Wargo in the 67th minute as SBU improved to 10-7-1 overall and 5-4-1 in the A-10.
For the game, Saint Joseph's registered just three shots on net, with freshman Steph Lawall posting a team-high two, while Bastianelli made a game-high five saves.
