PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's freshman Carl Baptiste has been named the Atlantic 10 Co-Rookie of the Week for December 27. He shares the honor with Mark Lyon of Xavier.

The 6-8 forward from Pittstown, N.J., scored a career-best 13 points in 22 minutes of action in Saint Joseph's 77-66 win over Lehigh on Dec. 20. Baptiste came off the bench and went a perfect 6-for-6 from the field in the first half. He finished the game going 6-of-7 while adding six rebounds and three blocks.

It marks the first weekly honor for Baptiste.

The Hawks (4-6) return to action on December 29 when they visit Siena.
