April 30, 2010

PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's head coach Phil Martelli announced that sophomores Temi Adebayo and A.J. Rogers have been granted releases from their scholarships so they may transfer to other institutions.

"Both Temi and A.J. are seeking opportunities that will allow them increased playing time. They have completed their academic requirements for the year at Saint Joseph's and my hope is that they can enjoy a fulfilling college basketball experience," said Martelli.

Adebayo, a 6-11 center from Ibadan, Nigeria (Montrose Christian H.S.), played in 15 games in his two years at Saint Joseph's, averaging 2.0 minutes per game.

Rogers, a 6-6 forward from Rosedale, N.Y. (St. Anthony H.S.), saw action in 10 games this season, averaging 3.0 minutes per game. He played in 22 games in his career, and averaged 0.6 points per game.
