Philadelphia, Pa. - The men's soccer team dropped their sixth one goal loss of the season as Xavier came to Finnesey Field Sunday, 2-1. The Musketeers came out strong holding possession of the ball for most of the first half.

The Hawks committed to playing defense due to Xavier's strong attack. The offense had little rhythm, having trouble creating opportunities in the first half. The Musketeers struck first scoring at 40:17, by James Weber, created from a corner kick.

The Hawks came out and made some good adjustments in the second half. Xavier was able to score their second goal off of another corner that bounced outside the box. Adar Cohen ripped a shot from 25 yards out to hit the top left off the goal just out of Andrew D'Ottavi's reach.

The offense bounced back, creating multiple opportunities after Xavier's second goal. Alex Critzos capitalized, finding the back of the net at 61:02 for the Hawks after Tim Brennan's shot was knocked down my the goal keeper.

Head Coach Don D'Ambra was pleased with the effort exerted by his team saying "I was proud of the guys. They brought a lot of intensity and energy, playing two games this weekend."

The Hawks will have the week off before hitting the road to face St. Bonaventure and Duquesne next weekend.
