Saint Joseph's goalkeeper Kaitlin LaBarbera was named Atlantic 10 Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending March 20.
The senior recorded nine saves in goal as the Hawks fell to Old Dominion, 11-10, on Wednesday. LaBarbera played the entire 60:00, facing 20 shots, and also had a caused turnover against the Monarchs.
The Belle Terre, New York native has tallied 53 saves and earned three wins so far this season. She has also picked up seven ground balls and five caused turnovers.
The award is the first for LaBarbera and Saint Joseph's first this season. LaBarbera and the Hawks return to action on Wednesday, when they play at Delaware. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m.
