The Saint Joseph's baseball program will host its first Fall Prospect Camp on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Smithson Field. The camp is designed for players in grades nine through 12. In addition, Saint Joseph's head coach Fritz Hamburg has announced the squad's fall schedule, which includes a pair of home contests and the annual Crimson and Gray World Series.
The Saint Joseph's Fall Prospect Camp will feature a pro-style workout, instruction, and a recruiting discussion in addition to a live game. The camp, open to all players in grades nine through 12, will be held at Smithson Field, SJU's new on-campus home facility. Smithson Field features state-of-the-art AstroTurf 3D GameDay Grass, the same surface used by the Tampa Bay Rays and Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball.
The cost for the single-day camp is $100. Camp will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will run until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 14.

The Hawks will also host a pair of exhibition games this fall, and will contest the annual Crimson and Gray World Series October 19-21. SJU will also hit the road for a game at Lehigh.
Saint Joseph's kicks off the fall slate on September 23 with a home matchup against the Ontario Blue Jays. The Hawks will then head to Lehigh on September 29 before a home game against Princeton on October 6.
The annual Crimson and Gray World Series will be played at Smithson Field for the first time, kicking off on Friday, October 19. The intra-squad scrimmage will continue on Saturday, October 20, and conclude on Sunday, October 21.
