Women's Soccer Falls at Princeton, 3-0

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Saint Joseph's women's soccer team fell at Princeton, 3-0, Friday evening. The Hawks, who got a game-high five saves from senior goalkeeper Christine Neal, return to action Sunday when they host Iona at 1 p.m.

After playing nearly the entire first half even, the host Tigers (1-1-1) broke tallied their first goal in the 43rd minute as Jen Hoy gathered a rebound off a Neal save and found an open net to make it 1-0 at 42:07.

Jessica Lee added Princeton's goal at 71:42, while Megan Gittins added the third goal at 88:31 after the Hawks' blocked her initial shot, only to have her gather the rebound and find the back of the net.

For the game, Princeton out shot the Saint Joseph's (3-2-1) 15-9.

Individually, senior Taylor Mallory and juniors Mo Hawkins and Shannon Farrell had two shots each for SJU.
