PHILADELPHIA - The Saint Joseph's women's soccer team fell at La Salle, 6-0, Friday evening. The Hawks got a game-high three saves from senior Lauren Jancuska, while Emily Gingrich and Mo Hawkins combined for five of the team's eight shots.
In the first half, Saint Joseph's (5-6-3, 1-2-1 Atlantic 10) and the Explorers played evenly over the opening 37 minutes. La Salle would strike quickly for a pair of goals in 30 seconds, scoring at 38:31 and 39:01 to take a 2-0 lead into the second half.
In the second frame, the Explorers (10-3-2, 2-1-1 A-10) would add four more goals.
The Hawks return to action this Sunday when they host Rhode Island at 1 p.m.
