Sophomore Pierre Brondeau won his third flight singles match, but the Saint Joseph's men's tennis team ultimately fell at Duquesne, 6-1, at the Alpha Tennis and Fitness Club.
Brondeau defeated Duquesne's Corey Robinson in straight sets, 7-5, 6-4, to earn the Hawks a point in the third singles flight.
Saint Joseph's is idle until Saturday, when the Hawks host St. Bonaventure at the SJU Tennis Complex.
