NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Saint Joseph's women's cross country team has been picked to finish sixth at the 2013 Atlantic 10 Women's Cross Country Championship, according to the conference's preseason poll released on Monday.
The Hawks took eighth at the 2012 Atlantic 10 Championship behind the All-Conference effort of current senior Emma Slattery's eighth-place individual finish. The Crimson and Gray return four additional scorers in seniors Hannah Fuller (51st) and Elizabeth Barrett (62nd) and sophomores Lauren Hehir (83rd) and Sara Radzwilka (84th).
The 2013 Atlantic 10 Women's Cross Country Championship will be hosted by the University of Richmond at Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville, Va. on November 2.
The Hawks will begin their regular season on Saturday, August 31 at the TCNJ Blue/Gold Classic in Pennington, N.J. Start time is scheduled for 9:00 a.m.
