ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Six members of the Saint Joseph's men's tennis team earned flight championships as play at the Navy Invitational wrapped up on Sunday.  The Hawks took home four of the 10 singles flights, and one of five doubles titles.

Seniors Renier Moolman and Andres Urrea combined for a 2-1 record in the top doubles flight, clinching the title with a 6-3 win over Corey Robinson and Harry Walshe of Duquesne.

In other doubles action on Sunday, junior Kyle Chalmers partnered with sophomore Peter Dewitt for a 6-3 win in the second doubles flight over Andrey Majkic and Aries Wong of the Naval Academy, and freshmen Andre Fick and Dan Tan took a 7-6 (9) win over Duquesne's Drew Akins and Dane Bendel.

Chalmers, Dewitt, FIck, and Tan all earned singles flight championships as well.  Chalmers finished the weekend with a 4-6, 6-4, 10-6 win over Wong in the third flight, while Dewitt claimed the ninth-flight title with a 4-6, 6-1, 10-6 win over Navy's Alex Gaines.

Fick and Tan won their seventh- and 10th-flight matches by default due to a pair of injury withdrawals.

Junior Tristan Boustany topped Akins, 4-6, 6-4, 10-4 in the fifth flight on Sunday, and senior Kevin Gates wrapped up his tournament with a 4-6, 6-3, 10-6 win over Majkic in the sixth.

"Winning a doubles flight and four singles titles is certainly a good way to close out our fall slate," said head coach Ian Crookenden.
