PHILADELPHIA - The Saint Joseph's women's soccer team clinched a berth in the 2015 Atlantic 10 Tournament with Thursday's 2-0 victory over Massachusetts on Thursday evening at Sweeney Field.

With the win, the Hawks set a new single-season record for victories, improving to 12-6-0 overall and 6-3-0 in the A-10. Additionally, senior goalkeeper Allison Ebling matched the career record for wins, tying Colleen Corcoran's mark of 22 with the shutout versus the Minutewomen.

Looking to clinch a postseason bid with a win or a draw versus Massachusetts, the Hawks got on the board in the 32nd minute thanks to rookie Hannah Racis' fifth goal on the season. Off a loose ball at the right side of the Massachusetts' box, SJU freshman Michaela Finneyfrock drilled a shot towards the goal, only to have it deflected by Racis into the near side of the goal and past a frozen Massachusetts goalkeeper at 31:41.

Junior Emily Gingrich added to the Saint Joseph's lead in the early part of the second half as she converted a penalty kick at 48:36 to make it 2-0 in favor of the Hawks.

From there, SJU's defense and Ebling made the score stand as they turned away all seven shots by Massachusetts.

For the game, UMass (6-7-4, 3-4-2 A-10) finished with a 12-11 edge in shots and had a 5-4 advantage in corner kicks.

Saint Joseph's caps the regular season this Sunday at St. Bonaventure at 1 p.m. The Hawks will not know their seed for the A-10 Tournament until after all seven conference games on Sunday. The conference tournament will begin next Thursday, November 5 at Davidson and run through Sunday, November 8.
