OLEAN, N.Y. - Saint Joseph's senior goalkeeper Allison Ebling set the program record for career victories with her 23rd on Sunday as the Hawks shutout the Bonnies, 3-0, in the regular season finale.
The Hawks, who finished with a 7-3-0 mark in the Atlantic 10, set a new single-season record for wins as they improved to 13-6-0. Saint Joseph's also earned the third seed for this week's A-10 Championship and will face sixth seed La Salle at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at Davidson's Alumni Soccer Stadium.
Saint Joseph's got on the board early against the Bonnies as rookie Dakota Mills headed in her eighth goal of the season off a pass from Emily Gingrich at 5:56.
Carrying over a 1-0 lead into the second half, Mills would connect again with Gingrich at 49:34 as Mills deposited a drive from 25 yards out into the net to give SJU a 2-0 advantage.
Gingrich added an insurance goal at 66:32 to make it 3-0, while Ebling posted two saves for her 15th career shutout. Ebling's victory, a single-season record 12th on the year, helped her pass Colleen Corcoran's all-time mark of 22 set from 1997-00.
For the Bonnies (6-12-2, 3-7-0), Danielle Vis had a game-high two shots.
