Florida used a late run to defeat Saint Joseph's, 74-63, in the semifinals of the 2015 Hall of Fame Tip-Off at Mohegan Sun Arena, giving the Hawks (3-1) their first loss of the season. The Hawks will face Old Dominion in Sunday's consolation game at noon.
With the game tied, 62-62, with 3:50 to play, Florida (3-0) ended the game with a 12-1 spurt, as the Hawks went without a field goal for the final 4:12. A three-pointer by Finney-Smith at 1:19 put the game out of reach, giving the Gators a 70-62 lead.
SJU sophomore James Demery established a new career-high with 17 points, while Isaiah Miles scored 16. DeAndre' Bembry had 10 points and a team-high eight rebounds and five assists.

In a game that saw 13 lead changes, Florida led by as much as 46-40 in the second half, until the Hawks went on a 7-0 run to regain the lead, 47-46 on a layup by Markell Lodge.
After going 0-for-6 from three-point range in the first half, SJU broke the string with one from freshman Lamarr Kimble and a pair from Miles to eventually take their biggest lead of the second half, 59-53.
Saint Joseph's struggled from the foul line, hitting just 16-of-27, while committing 14 turnovers.
Florida was led by Finney-Smith with 13 points, while Kasey Hill had 13 and Devin Robinson notched 12 points and 10 rebounds.
