PITTSBURGH – The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team fell to Duquesne on Saturday, dropping a 6-1 result to the Dukes. Andres Urrea tallied the lone point for SJU.
“It was another tough battle against a top-tier Atlantic 10 team,” said head coach Ian Crookenden. “The doubles were close and we had some solid singles performances against a very solid opponent.”
Urrea came away with the win in the fourth singles flight, outlasting Adam Blasinsky, 7-5, 7-5.
Pierre Brondeau and Mike Fallone teamed up in the third doubles flight, and the pair earned an 8-6 result against Blasinsky and Mehdi Mekaoui.
The Hawks return to action on Wednesday, March 31, at Monmouth.
