NEW YORK - Former Saint Joseph's star Langston Galloway has been named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team, league officials announced on Monday.
Joining the Knicks in early January, Galloway quickly made an impact for New York. Appearing in 45 games, with 41 starts, Galloway finished third on the team in scoring (11.8 ppg), second in assists (3.3 apg) and sixth in rebounding (4.2 rpg). Shooting 35.2 percent from three-point range and 80.8 percent from the foul line, the 6-foot-4 guard is just the fourth undrafted player in league history - and first Knick - to earn All-Rookie Team honors.
Prior to joining New York, Galloway led the West Chester Knicks of the NBA D League averaged 16.5 points per game and shot 44.7 percent from the field prior to the call up.
A 2014 graduate of Saint Joseph's, Galloway is the Hawks' all-time leader in three-point field goals.
