Women's Soccer Falls At Lehigh, 3-2

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Saint Joseph's women's soccer team had its three-game winning streak snapped at Lehigh on Sunday as the Hawks fell, 3-2.

Saint Joseph's (4-2-0) went ahead with a first half goal courtesy of Emily Gingrich off a corner kick by Paige Bergman, but the host Mountain Hawks answered with the next three goals to open a 3-1 advantage.

Rookie Hannah Racis brought SJU to within one, 3-2, with a goal in the 81st minute, but Lehigh was able to keep the Hawks off the board in the final minutes.

In goal, rookie Grace Bendon made five saves but was the hard-luck loser, falling to 1-2-0 on the season. Rookie Dakota Mills each and Gingrich earned credit with an assist each on Racis' goal.

Saint Joseph's returns to action this Friday at home versus Delaware at 7 p.m.
