Women's Soccer Earns 0-0 Draw At George Washington

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Saint Joseph's senior Grace Bendon made four saves as the Hawks' women's soccer team earned a 0-0 double overtime draw at George Washington on Thursday.

In a defensive battle, Saint Joseph's (7-5-3, 2-3-3 Atlantic 10) had its best scoring opportunity in the second overtime. With less than five minutes to play, rookie Kasia Kwitnieski drilled a shot that rang off the George Washington post but deflected wide.

The Hawks would keep the Colonials at a distance from there to earn the draw.

For the game, SJU finished with a 15-11 edge in shots and 4-2 edge in corner kicks.

Saint Joseph's returns to action this Sunday when it hosts Rhode Island at 1 p.m. The Hawks will honor their senior class with a pregame ceremony.
