Women's Soccer Tripped Up At VCU, 1-0

RICHMOND, Va. - A VCU goal in the 77th minute proved to be the difference on Thursday night as the Saint Joseph's women's soccer team fell to the Rams, 1-0.

After a scoreless first half, VCU broke the scoreless tie at 76:27 as Alyssa Talent converted inside the box off a crossing pass.

The Hawks (6-5-2, 1-3-1) had two scoring chances from that point on, but could not find the back of the net.

For the game, goalkeeper Grace Bendon had a game-high six saves, while juniors Michaela Finneyfrock and Paige Bergman each had two shots apiece for the Hawks.
