Box Score Behind a season-high four goals, the Saint Joseph's women's soccer team capped the home portion of its schedule with a 4-1 victory over Rhode Island on Thursday evening.
How It Happened
• Saint Joseph's senior Gabrielle Vagnozzi opened the scoring at 13:55 with her third goal of the season, this one finding the back of the net off a corner kick.
• Less than a minute later, Dakota Mills found Bridget Galen on a crossing pass, with Galen deflecting a shot past the Rhode Island keeper to make it 2-0 at 14:30.
• Mills added to the Hawks' lead at 26:37 with her team-leading fourth goal of the year. Melanie Cunha assisted on the play.
• Following a goal by Rhode Island in the 75th minute, Morgan Bower added an insurance goal off a feed from Aleksa Peev at 79:03 to make it 4-1.
• In goal, senior Cameron Perrott made one save as she improved to 5-4-2 overall.
• With the win, Saint Joseph's improved to 4-4-1 in the Atlantic 10, and 7-8-2 overall.
