NORFOLK, Va. - Closing out the game on a 17-4 run, Old Dominion handed the Saint Joseph's men's basketball team an 82-69 loss on Sunday afternoon at Chartway Arena. 

How It Happened
• Saint Joseph's Ryan Daly tied the game at 65-65 with 3:41 to play, but the Monarchs scored the next eight points, and 17 of the final 21, to close out the contest.
• After a back-and-forth opening 10 minutes, the Hawks used a 12-2 run to open their biggest lead of the game, 34-22, on a three-pointer by Cameron Brown at 6:32.
• Old Dominion used a 12-4 spurt to close out the half to make it 38-34 as it held Saint Joseph's without a field goal for the final 4:38.
• The Monarchs opened a 47-41 advantage early in the second half, but the Hawks responded as Brown knotted the game at 47 with a three-pointer at 13:26.
• Old Dominion pulled back in front and held a 61-55 lead with 7:07 to go, but Saint Joseph's used a 10-4 run to tie the game at 65-65 on Daly's jumper in the lane at 3:41.
• A layup by Malik Curry sparked an 8-0 response by Old Dominion, with the Monarchs allowing the Hawks only one made field goal in the final minutes.

Behind The Boxscore
• Lorenzo Edwards finished with a career-best 23 points to lead all scorers as he went 8-13 from the floor, including 7-9 from three-point range.
Ryan Daly finished two points shy of a triple-double as he finished with 13 rebounds, 11 assists and eight points.
Rahmir Moore was the only other Hawk in double figures as he scored 10 points.
• In his collegiate debut, Chereef Knox added eight points and four rebounds.
• Saint Joseph's was held to 9-33 from the field (27.3 percent) in the second half, while ODU went 14-31 (45.2 percent), including 17-25 from the foul line.
• The Hawks went 15-37 from behind the arc (40.5 percent), including 10-19 in the first half.
