The Saint Joseph's men's rowing team will take on a competitive field at the 81st annual Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta on Friday and Saturday, May 10 and 11, on the Schuylkill River.

Live streaming of the entire regatta will be provided at DadVail.org, beginning on Friday at 7 a.m., and continuing through the conclusion of racing on Saturday.

The Hawks are seeking Dad Vail medals in the Eights for the third consecutive year as last season the Varsity 8 earned silver for the second year in a row. The Second Varsity 8 also garnered a silver medal and the Third Varsity 8 took a bronze.

“We have a really deep field entered in the 2019 Dad Vail. There are nine programs which have the speed to make the grand final in the varsity event and that will make the racing very exciting. Coaches are going to have a hard time keeping up on the bike path while watching this weekend,” said head coach Mike Irwin.
