Mills' Late Goal Lifts Women's Soccer Past James Madison, 2-1

Saint Joseph's graduate student Dakota Mills converted a penalty kick in the 84th minute to lift the Hawks' women's soccer team to a 2-1 victory over James Madison on Thursday evening at Sweeney Field.

How It Happened
Dakota Mills capitalized on a penalty kick at 83:30 after a JMU defender took down a Hawk inside the box. The goal was the first of the season for Mills and 36th of her career.
• Senior Gabrielle Vagnozzi scored the game's first goal at 7:13 on a shot that snuck under the JMU keeper's hands. The goal was her second of the year and 15th overall, while Bridget Galen was credited with the assist.
• James Madison tied the game at 1-1 at 68:33 on a goal by Maia Foley.
• Freshman Emily Cuccio made a game-high four saves to move to 2-0-1 on the year.
• Saint Joseph's has won two consecutive matches and improved to 3-1-1 on the season with the victory.
