RICHMOND, Va. - The Saint Joseph's men's basketball team fell to Richmond in its Atlantic 10 opener, 84-52, Thursday evening at the Robins Center.
How It Happened
• Richmond jumped out to an 11-2 lead as the Spiders hit 5-of-6 from the field over the opening 3:35.
• The Hawks fought back and took the lead, 19-18, on a three-pointer by
Cameron Brown with 8:38 to go in the first half.
• The Spiders responded with a 26-4 run to end the half and take a 44-23 edge into the second half.
• A layup by
Rahmir Moore at 10:48 of the second half brought Saint Joseph's to within 13, 52-39, but that would be as close as the Hawks would get.

• Saint Joseph's shot 36.7 percent from the field (22-of-60) to Richmond's 47.7 percent (31-of-65).
• The Hawks went 6-of-30 from behind the arc, while Richmond finished at 8-of-25.
• Saint Joseph's 21 turnovers were its most since Loyola Chicago (24).
• The Hawks finished with a 38-34 edge in rebounding and scored 15 second chance points.
• Brown scored a team-high 11 points and added seven rebounds and two assists.
