Cameron Brown had a season-high 17 points and eight rebounds, but the Hawks fell to Duquesne, 78-60, on Wednesday evening at Hagan Arena.
How It Happened
• After both teams exchanged baskets over the opening eight minutes, Duquesne used an 11-0 run to take a 22-9 lead on a dunk by Lamar Norman Jr. at 10:16.
• The Hawks responded with a 7-0 run of their own as a layup by Brown made it 24-18.
• The Dukes answered with eight straight points to open a 32-18 lead.
• Carrying momentum into the second half, Duquesne posted an 11-0 streak to start the period and extend its lead to 49-23.
• Saint Joseph's tried to chip away at the Dukes' lead, but got no closer than 17 points.
